Vanderbilt Charter Academy (Holland, Michigan)During the Spring of 2014, I had my first placement in a kindergarten classroom. Here I acted as an aid and helped the teacher with various tasks and assisted individual children.

Ready for Life (Hope College Campus)During the fall of 2014, I had a placement with Ready for Life, a program for college aged students with disabilities to get to attend college and learn life skills. I acted as a "mentor" to these students and worked one on one with them each week!

Jefferson Elementary (Holland, Michigan)During the Spring of 2015, I had a placement at this K-7 school in a first grade classroom. There were a wide array of students from various background, with different needs. I worked one on one, in small groups, and assessed children. I continued to attend this placement during May for a May term and went every day!

Northway Primary School (Liverpool, England)During June of 2015, I had the unique opportunity to take a educational Literacy course in Liverpool! We had a placement at a local primary (elementary) school. I, along with a partner, were in a Year 5 classroom (fourth grade) and were able to observe, help out, and teach a co-taught lesson!

Z- Quest (Zeeland, Michigan)During the Fall of 2015, I had a placement in a combined 2nd/3rd grade classroom at Z-Quest. I was able to see how the different ages interacted with one another and learn about project-based learning.

West Ottawa High School (West Ottawa, Michigan)In the fall of 2015 I was placed in a high school resource room, where I supported a consumer math course. I worked with thirteen students of different high-incidence disabilities.
