In the Fall of 2016, I had my first Student teaching placement in a 6th/7th grade resource room. This placement completed my special education requirements. I learned SO much from this placement about patience and how middle school special education is something I would seriously consider pursuing!

Holland West K-7 is apart of Holland Public Schools
It caters to a large number of students in lower socio-economic settings
Most students are on free and reduced lunch.

13 student caseload
a variety of high incidence disabilities (learning disabilities, Emotional impairments, Other Health Impairment)
1 student with high functioning autism but severe behavior problems.
three different resource room hours
Push in to two 7th grade communicative arts classes.
A class that focused on Read 180, a remedial reading program for students with Lexile levels below 800. This program had a technology and workbook piece.
